Sri Lanka’s Wild Elephant Safaris offers guests a free trip to its world’s highest infinity pool

A resort operator in Sri Lanka has added a unique spa to its existing Wild Elephant Safaris, by offering a free trip to the world’s highest natural infinity pool. Painted in a vibrant lime green, and located beside an African-style game reserve on the north coast of the island nation, this venue offers complete panoramic 360-degree views, which guests can then step back into as they soak up the adrenaline and the meditative qualities of being immersed in pure infinity.

While this is not the first infinity pool in the world, it remains the tallest, according to Lonely Planet. Its creators hope the project – which also features an infinity plunge pool and an infinity pool, with panoramic views of the salt ponds behind the property – will help draw tourists to the region, and wants to use the pool as a vehicle to promote the use of natural rivers and plants in the country.

Other properties with a geothermal swimming pool include the Dorado Hotels and Resorts in Mexico, The Sea Parc in Senegal, and Albergue Neo Glitter, in Yucatan, Mexico.
